While Skylar continues to perform and explore the professional theatre circuit, she has also decided to continue her studies and obtain a certificate in Vocology from the Voice Study Centre on top of her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Musical Theatre from Reinhardt University. Skylar understands that every student's needs are different and strives to optimize a students confidence and skill. Skylar is a firm believer that there is a place in this industry for everyone and whether you are looking to get more confidence in performing as a hobby or career, she wants to help you succeed!

A bit of Skylar's beginning with the Arts...

For as long as I can remember, I have always loved storytelling. However, as a kid that meant making my friends do talent shows at my birthday parties and performing any Disney musical in front of anyone who was willing to listen - thanks to everyone involved for being a good sport! So once I got into elementary school and had a music class once every week, I was thrilled! It quickly became my favorite class and I looked forward to any performing opportunity that I could get! Until I picked up my final report card from elementary school and saw a big fat "F" next to Music. (Seriously, to this day I'm still confused how that happened) Ten year old me was crushed, but Twenty-something year old me uses that as a reminder to become the teacher I was looking for back then. Since then I have graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre and performed professionally at Regional Theaters and Theme parks. If I would have given up when I got that report card, I wouldn't have the experiences I have today. With all that being said, I believe that everyone can be the performer they want to be with hard work and resilience.
